National eTwinning support office in Ukraine
eTwinning is about community, collaboration and opportunities for educator development.
The program was launched by the European Commission in 2005 as a platform for the community of educators and the development of cooperation in the field of education. Schools, pre-school education institutions, vocational education institutions and higher education institutions that train teachers are involved in the eTwinning Program. Today, the eTwinning community unites educators from 46 countries in Europe and the world.
The implementation of the eTwinning initiative in Ukraine contributes to the integration of Ukrainian educators (teachers, lecturers, heads of educational institutions, future teachers (students of pedagogical universities and colleges), politicians and civil servants responsible for educational policy, and educational institutions into the European Educational Area and the European community of educators.
Goals and challenges
Create a corporate website for the development of the eTwinning initiative in Ukraine, support for educational innovators and the development of the European Educational Space
- 001Provide information about existing participants (ambassadors and educational institutions) of the program in an interactive format;
- 002Develop a convenient format for administration and review of the FAQ section, taking into account the large number and variability of questions;
- 003To think over the structure of the information content of the site, for convenient perception of a large amount of information;
- 004Provide the possibility of categorization and tagging of all site content, as well as implement the possibility of adding various types of filters;
- 005Prepare the site and provide all necessary tools for SEO promotion.
Solutions
Convenience, thoughtfulness, interactivity
We designed the site in a minimalist style, without overloading with animations and bright colors, which allows us to easily highlight important information or focus on targeted actions, as well as to make it as easy as possible to perceive the content in general;
We divided the information articles on the website into 2 main categories “Professional development” and “News”. At the same time, it is possible to combine content and show one article in both sections, or articles from different sections can have the same tag and appear when filtering by it;
We added an advanced search function on the site for all sections, for example, questions from the “FAQ” section are immediately answered on the search page;
We implemented an interactive “eTwinners Map”, where everyone can see how active their region is in the program and which ambassadors can be contacted for help;
In each section of the site, appropriate filtering and information search tools have been developed for convenient search of the required information;
We developed a convenient admin panel and provided video instructions, thanks to which the employees really quickly managed to understand the management of the site and began to fill it.
